Happy Earth Day - In my Own Back yard!

With 1.5 million acres of swamps, saw-grass prairies and sub-tropical jungles, Everglades National Park is one of the most unusual public parks in the United States. Located on the southern tip of Florida, the park is home to 14 rare and endangered species, including the American Crocodile, the Florida Panther and the West Indian Manatee. A large portion of the park is primitive, explored only by adventurists and researchers – but visitors have ample opportunity to walk, camp and canoe through the flat and watery park that is also known as “the river of grass.” Courtesy of About.com
I happen to live in what use to be part of "The Everglades" on any given day as you can see in some of the pictures below you can find Egrets, White Ibis,  and on occasion a funny lizards like the one on our coconut, called the Cuban Knight Anole - native to Cuba my country of birth, it has migrated to Florida with the assistance of humans. So in honor of Earth Day I promise to do what I can to protect this very precious Eco-system and I will start by replanting my now forgotten vegetable garden and posting pictures of the year long project here next Earth Day.

Love Letters

Fashion: Forever Evolving
Edited by Collette Osuna of Statements in Fashion
Hello everyone! I'm super excited to be making my debut as an IFB Links a la Mode Editor this week. As I visited each link, I was reminded that each had the exact thing in common with the next, that Fashion is Forever Evolving.
From your Mothers fashion advice, a beauty "how to" video, or a legendary icons passing, fashion is always changing and taking form in a new shape. I am constantly thriving to acquaint myself with the "fashion unfamiliar." This weeks links did just that for me. I'm thrilled to be a new member of the IFB family and cannot wait to see everyone's posts throughout the upcoming year!

Links à la Mode: March 31st

Then and Now the Turban Look

Fellow Polyvorian 6irl6irl has created a fabulous set representing the S/S 2011 Turban Trend that was very popular during the S/S 2011 Fashion Week!
Further below, I have also included a look back at the popular Turban "Then and Now "  let me know what you think, can you rock this look?  As a Travel Agent myself, I believe it is a great solution for those days when you just do not want to spend too much time on your hair yet still look Glamorous; Enjoy
